2013 - 26 Acts of Random kindness

I'm sure many of you are fully aware of the tragic events that unfolded at Sandy Hook earlier this month. If you are like me, these children will never be far from your mind. You hug your own children close and are thankful that they come home to you each school day.

One of the good things that came out of this was from Ann Curry who invited everyone to commit 26 random act of kindness in memory of the victims who were lost that day.

Come 2013 - I will be doing just this. I strongly urge you to check out this facebook page and discover this movement for yourself. I am already planning my first act! ;)

I always do my best to try and help out through Shelby Styles supporting various fund raisers, charities etc etc. Not often do I post asking for help when it's personal and close to home. Today, I'm asking just that!!! Small business owners...

, Vendors, anyone wanting to get your name out etc etc. I NEED your help! Last month my husband's 31 year old cousin passed away from cancer. She was born with Blooms which is a rare disorder and has been fighting her WHOLE life. She was receiving assistance from the government and because of that lived on very little money. Our family has gone to assistance asking for their help in covering final costs, only to have been rejected. My husband's aunt has been home looking after his cousin and has been unable to work, she's also been caring for her son who has severe epilepsy. I'm outraged that they have gone through so much already and now are dealing with this burden! I would love to run a auction for them this weekend on my page to help with exspenses. It's a Dora Party!

So here I am once again - asking you to forgive me for not keeping up to date with my blog.

You will be excited to know however, that I will on my blog daily come December 3rd, as this is when I will be starting my 12 days of Christmas give away! Be sure to check back for details!

So, non business related - my *baby* girl turned 3 last week. My beautiful lil miss is now a saucy, smart and entertaining little person who is developing her own interests, personality and attitude! Lord help me!

50 shades of........

I'm not a avid book reader in the least, but after hearing all the hype of the 50 shades series I had to check it out for myself.

I started into the first of the 3 books and was hooked. Like most women (let's be honest, it's mainly women reading this trilogy) I couldn't put it down. Ana and Christian became a part of my world. I laughed, I cried, I got angry and welllll - I blushed.

More then anything -  I now understood all the catch phrases and finally got what *The Red Room of Pain and Charlie Tango!* meant!!

Sugar Shock

As I keep mentioning, I like to dabble from time to time in things other then clips and bows etc etc.

I had previously made this cake for someone else's birthday, and by request of my son I decided to make it for my hubby's birthday yesterday. If your a chocolate lover, this cake is for you!

For my Star Wars fan

Every now and then (read when I have a moment to spare) I like to try and get little projects done for my kids too!

My son is a major Star Wars fan and now that we have the Star Wars bedding, we are moving towards that theme for his room! This first is this Star Wars cork board/memory board made by moi.
